FAMILY
Addiction and other behavioral health illnesses do not just affect
the individual—they affect entire families. Therefore, it is essential
that a client’s family has access to educational materials and
support services. Pioneer emphasizes family involvement in all phases
of the treatment process and we welcome the active participation of
family members in treatment planning. Our staff members are trained
to provide education and intervention that is supportive, nonjudgmental,
and provides maximum collaboration and communication.
Pioneer offers programs for the families and significant others of
all clients in treatment. Through our use of individual family sessions
and involvement in groups, a client’s family members are educated
on issues such as co-dependency, enabling, family disease, conflict
resolution, and effective communications. Family members also are introduced
to Al-Anon, Alateen, and other self-help groups that are designed to
give all members the support they need.
