EAP SERVICESPioneer Behavioral Health offers the following Employee Assistance Program services:
Individual and group counseling available for the following issues.
In coordination with the client and the client's health plan, we will determine the proper level of care and the appropriate number of counseling sessions. 24-Hour Crisis Stabilization (Rapid Response Team) Pioneer’s crisis stabilization services are currently performed by our Harmony Healthcare subsidiary, located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Known as the Rapid Response Team, Harmony offers crisis assistance to individuals 365 days per year, 24 hours per day, seven days per week. The Rapid Response Team is led by a psychiatrist and staffed by licensed counselors from a variety of disciplines, including Ph.D.s, licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs), certified alcohol and drug counselors (CADCs), nurse practitioners (NPs), and marriage and family therapists (MFTs). The Rapid Response Team conducts in-person meetings with each member of the team, as well as all individuals in crisis who require immediate hospitalization. Once the Rapid Response Team is contacted, a Harmony counselor contacts the individual within 15 minutes to set up a time for an in-person clinical assessment. The clinical assessment can occur in an emergency room, an inpatient psychiatric hospital, an intake room of a general hospital, at the individual’s work site, or at one of Harmony’s offices. Once the clinical assessment is completed, our staff psychiatrist reviews the medical and clinical data and, in concert with the patient’s treating emergency room physician or primary care physician, initiates the required treatment. Harmony’s staff psychiatrist sees hospitalized individuals on a daily basis. Our hands-on approach to care enhances the individual’s treatment and encourages effective, ongoing outpatient care after discharge from the hospital. Currently, Harmony has agreements with employers and health plans to
perform 24-Hour Crisis Stabilization / Rapid Response Services. For

This case management / utilization review process is initiated at the point of first contact with our clients. Regardless of the nature of the case, whether it is a crisis or a regularly scheduled counseling session, clinicians register the case with the case management system set up throughout our system. The design of the case management / utilization review process allows us to immediately assess and manage the following information:
Our case management / utilization review process is managed by a trained case manager and is monitored on an ongoing basis. A multi-disciplinary team, consisting of various health professionals, assesses and evaluates the services rendered to each client. In coordination with the client and the client’s family, the team formulates a treatment plan to identify the client’s difficulties, interventions, objectives, and goals. During this time, a length of stay or proposed frequency and duration of care is also determined. The case is then reviewed with an eye toward the proposed care plan. For those instances in which additional care is anticipated, cases will be re-staffed and additional care will be authorized.
Our methodology ensures all clients receive care that is clinically necessary, appropriate, timely, and cost efficient. At Pioneer, we take pride in our responsiveness to customers and referral sources. Our facilities’ business offices have the capability of tailoring financial, utilization, and other reports to meet the needs of each customer. In so doing, our customers receive accurate data that complies with their specific requests. Pioneer’s Wellplace subsidiary offers classes
